## Service Line

## Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM **z/OS** operating systems and supporting software within enterprise mainframe environments.
* Perform software installation and maintenance using **SMP/E** and non-SMP/E installation methods for IBM and third-party products.
* Plan and execute z/OS operating system upgrades, maintenance activities, and RSU implementations using **z/OSMF Workflows**.
* Configure and manage complex z/OS environments while ensuring high availability, security, and system performance.
* Support software standardization initiatives and implement new mainframe features and enhancements.
* Collaborate with infrastructure teams responsible for storage, networking, security, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
* Work closely with application support teams and system programmers to resolve technical issues and improve platform stability.
* Identify opportunities to automate administrative tasks and optimize operational processes within the mainframe environment.
* Assist project teams in planning upgrades, migrations, maintenance windows, and decommissioning activities.
* Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, and project schedules while coordinating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
## Technical & Professional Requirements
* Strong hands-on experience with **IBM z/OS** system programming and administration.
* Expertise in **SMP/E** and non-SMP/E installation, maintenance, and software upgrade activities.
* Experience installing and supporting IBM and Broadcom mainframe software products.
* In-depth knowledge of **z/OS V2.5** (or later), including operating system upgrades and **z/OSMF Workflow** execution.
* Strong understanding of **JCL**, IBM utilities such as **IEBGENER**, **IEBCOPY**, **AMASPZAP**, and **DFDSS**.
* Experience with **IODF**, **HCD**, and hardware configuration management for adding and maintaining system devices.
* Familiarity with **ISPF**, **TSO**, and general z/OS administration tools.
* Basic knowledge of **REXX** and **CLIST** scripting.
* Understanding of **Sysplex** administration and configuration management is desirable.
* Ability to create project plans, maintenance schedules, implementation roadmaps, and coordinate activities with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
