Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a strong sourcing network by collaborating with collection centers, wholesale markets (Mandis), farmers, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
Ensure all fresh produce meets the company's quality standards to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Improve the efficiency and productivity of processing and fulfillment centers through continuous operational improvements.
Build long-term relationships with farmers and FPOs to strengthen direct procurement and reduce sourcing costs.
Conduct regular visits to wholesale and retail markets to monitor pricing trends, product quality, and market availability.
Visit fulfillment centers frequently to assess operational performance, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
Organize regular training sessions for fulfillment center staff, vendors, packers, and labor teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure timely product procurement and supply based on purchase orders while maintaining high order fulfillment and fill-rate performance.
Manage the right assortment and product selection to meet customer demand across all sales channels.
Maintain optimum stock availability of key and fast-moving products to avoid stock-outs.
Monitor market prices and implement competitive pricing strategies to enhance customer value.
Achieve procurement, inventory, and profitability targets as defined by the business.
Plan, test, and successfully launch new fruit and vegetable SKUs based on customer demand and market analysis.
Reduce product wastage, liquidation, returns, and fulfillment cancellations through effective inventory planning and quality control.
Improve operational profitability by identifying new product opportunities, optimizing sourcing costs, and implementing strategic pricing initiatives.
Drive new sourcing and supply chain projects that support future business growth and operational excellence.
Coordinate daily with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure timely deliveries, service quality, and achievement of operational KPIs.
Analyze procurement and supply chain performance using data-driven insights and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate closely with operations, category, quality, logistics, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless execution across the supply chain.
