Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Field Officers within the Madurai Cluster, based in Aruppukkottai. Field Officers are responsible for sourcing and servicing customers, especially in semi-urban and rural areas, by promoting bank products such as loans and deposit accounts and supporting financial inclusion initiatives. The role involves conducting regular field visits, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, assisting customers with account opening and documentation, and educating them on banking services and digital channels. Field Officers are expected to meet assigned business and collection targets, ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines, and provide timely, courteous support to customers. The position requires close coordination with branch teams, accurate reporting of daily activities, and active participation in community outreach and awareness programs.
Qualifications
Ability to build trust-based customer relationships, with strong interpersonal and communication skills in local language and English/Hindi.
Basic knowledge of banking products and services, including savings and deposit accounts, loans, and digital banking channels.
Comfort with fieldwork, including regular travel within the Aruppukkottai and Madurai Cluster area to meet customers on-site.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle documentation, reporting, and target-based responsibilities.
Commitment to financial inclusion and community development, with a customer-centric and ethical approach to service.
Minimum educational qualification typically at graduate level (e.g., bachelor’s degree or equivalent); relevant experience in banking, microfinance, or field sales is an advantage.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a branch team, with a willingness to learn bank processes and compliance requirements.
Basic computer literacy, including use of mobile apps and banking systems, and readiness to adopt new technologies and processes.
