Role Description The Stores & Purchase role is a full-time, on-site position based at Daiwik Hotels in Rameswaram. The role involves managing inventory levels, receiving and issuing materials, and maintaining accurate stock records for all departments. The team member will handle purchasing activities, including sourcing vendors, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office teams to understand requirements and plan purchases accordingly. The role also requires monitoring quality of supplies, verifying invoices against purchase orders, and supporting periodic audits to maintain compliance with hotel standards and financial controls.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Candidates should possess Organization Skills to manage stock, track usage, and optimize purchasing and storage processes.
Candidates should possess Training and organizational abilities to implement standard operating procedures and support onboarding of new team members in stores and purchase functions.
Candidates should have basic knowledge of inventory management and purchasing systems, with proficiency in MS Office or hotel ERP software.
Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, integrity in handling documentation and payments, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
A diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Business, or a related field, and prior experience in hotel stores or purchasing will be an advantage.
