About The Role
The Frontend Developer (PR1 Level) at Cimpress will play a critical role in building and enhancing a responsive, high-performance e-commerce website. This position involves developing reusable user-interface components, integrating various APIs, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility to deliver a seamless user experience. The successful candidate will optimize page performance, collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality features. The role requires a strong hands-on understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and responsive design principles. Familiarity with Vue.js or Nuxt.js is desirable, as these frameworks are integral to our frontend architecture.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces while maintaining code quality and performance standards. Qualifications
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/SCSS.
Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, DOM manipulation, events, and debugging frontend issues.
Experience with jQuery and Ajax.
Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
Strong grasp of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
Familiarity with build tools and package managers such as Webpack and npm.
Experience with design tools such as Figma.
Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
Understanding of semantic HTML, accessibility standards, and SEO-friendly frontend development.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting UI and browser issues.
Ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
Basic to good understanding of TypeScript.
Experience using browser developer tools for debugging and performance analysis.
Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, lazy loading, image optimization, and caching strategies.
Familiarity with component-based frontend development frameworks such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js, or React.js.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve frontend bugs and browser compatibility issues.
Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and incorporate them into projects as appropriate.
Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
Utilize AI tools effectively to improve development workflows, debugging, and documentation.
