Role Description The Home Textile Merchandiser role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karur. The merchandiser will manage buyer communications, coordinate sampling and product development, and follow up on orders from enquiry stage through shipment. Daily responsibilities include preparing costings and quotations, tracking production status with factory teams, and ensuring product specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met. The role also involves maintaining product catalogs, monitoring market trends, and supporting sales and marketing activities for home textile collections. The merchandiser will work closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure smooth execution of orders and strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Sales and Retail experience, preferably in textiles, home furnishings, or related consumer products.
Marketing skills to support product positioning, presentations, and promotion of home textile ranges.
Knowledge of home textile products, fabrics, and basic production processes.
Ability to manage multiple orders, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office and email correspondence; experience with ERP or order management systems is an advantage.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative working style.
Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Textile Technology, Fashion, Business, or a related field preferred.
