Role Description The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production and operational activities at the Tiruppur facility to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and cost efficiency. This full-time, on-site role involves planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating with merchandising, quality, procurement, and logistics teams, and resolving operational bottlenecks. The Operations Manager will implement and improve processes, track key performance indicators, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also includes managing and mentoring team members, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting vendor and customer coordination to maintain smooth operations across the supply chain.
Qualifications
Experience in operations management within the garment, textile, or manufacturing sector, including production planning and workflow optimization.
Strong skills in team leadership, people management, and cross-functional coordination with production, quality, and logistics teams.
Ability to analyze data, manage KPIs, and use basic productivity or ERP tools to monitor performance and implement process improvements.
Knowledge of garment production processes, quality standards, and on-time shipment requirements for export customers.
Familiarity with workplace safety practices, compliance requirements, and basic inventory and supply chain management.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for interacting with internal teams, suppliers, and international buyers.
Bachelor’s degree in production management, textile/garment technology, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in an operations or production supervisory role in Tiruppur or similar industrial clusters is an advantage.
